Tea Time

The most perfect San Diego weather welcomed the bride from the East Coast to her bridal shower high tea. All the guests were in their spring finery and everyone wore fascinators in honor of the bride. The hostesses set the tables with heirloom linens, china and silver belonging to the family of the bride. We loved the menu they selected: Butternut Squash and Pear Bisque served in darling Demi-tasse cups, Green Goddess Cucumber Cups, Pineapple Cream Cheese and Ham Tea Sandwiches, Deviled Eggs, Spinach and Smoked Salmon Roulades and Curried Chicken Salad on Mini Croissants. Savories were followed by Lemon Blueberry Scones with Creme Chantilly and Lemon Curd. Then came Chocolate Mousse in vintage crystal punch cups, Chocolate Dipped Strawberries, Fruit Tartlets and lovely Vanilla Petit Fours. Truly a sweet affaire…
